Irrigation System

Taking care of the Environment

Treatment of by-products

In order to exploit the industrial effluent generated in the various industrial processes of the company located in General Deheza, a modern system of forest irrigation was designed and implemented.

During the whole year, 50 hectares of eucalyptus planted in channeled lots are irrigated from wastewater.

Water coming from the treatment plant is carried to a reservoir where it is stored for later use.

A pumping station forces water through buried pipes to electric valves located at the end of the canals running through the plantation and distributing water for irrigation.

An electronic controller commands the valve opening in an automated way. The streets in between complete the setting and allow visitors to walk around the facilities.

The species planted was selected for its high water consumption, rapid growth and adaptation to the climate and the soil.
