General Deheza Complex
This is the founder company and the most important industrial plant in the group. This is where AGD produces most of its edible oil and peanut-based products, having certified these processes with ISO 9001.
What is produced
At this plant AGD produces crude vegetable oils to be later refined in its state of the art refinery. The multi-seed extraction lines allow the simultaneous crushing of three different oilseeds: soyabeans, sunflowerseed and pleanuts.
The complex also includes an automated oil bottling plant, producing its own PET bottles and Polyethylene caps. The premises and installations are ISO 9001 certified.
AGD employs a husk-fed boiler that supplies the electric power for the three crushing lines, thus leading the employment of ecological and environmental technologies both in Argentina and worldwide.
Peanuts for human consumption grade (HPS) are processed through a selection facility that receives peanuts in bulk from farmers.
AGD only processes Runner type peanuts. After reception, the goods are cleaned, dried and sorted, resulting in edible shelled peanuts for human consumption further classified into the various commercial grades, bagged and labelled, showing: Production Plant, Lot Number, Date of Production, Product, Harvest and Origin. The goods are sent in containers by railroad to the loading ports.
Responding to the sustained growth of soybean production in Argentina, AGD has recently built a new storage warehouse in General Deheza, Ferro 7, being one of the largest in Latin America. Thus asserting the company”s policy of adapting to market and economic changes.
The mother company, Aceitera General Deheza, in its Reflex plant opened in November 2011, has a process capacity of 8,000 tons per day of oilseeds in their multi-seeds extraction lines. Refining capacity is 700,000 Its per day while storage capacity is 1 million tons of oilseeds and 60,000 tons of vegoils.
In the new Ferro 7 storage warehouse, one of the largest installations in Latin America, 250,000 tons of soybeans or 150,000 tons of sunflowerseed can be stored in its 18,750 square meter area.
It is located in the birthplace of the company, General Deheza, in the heart of, Argentina’s prime agricultural region.
